Black Radish Books is delighted to announce new work we will be publishing in 2017, work from four exciting poets brought to our attention through the assistance of our Editorial Advisory Board. We are still making some decisions, so more news will be forthcoming.

Elsa by Angela Veronica Wong

Anemal, Uter Meck by Mg Roberts

Forget It by Anastacia Tolbert

Anyjar by Jaimie Gusman

Black Radish is thrilled to work with these wonderful poets and awed by their brilliance.

Full-Length Manuscript Open Reading Period 2014.

Opens May 1, 2014. Ends on May 31, 2014.

We will be reading full-length poetry and cross-genre manuscripts through May 1-31, 2014. We will consider manuscripts from 60-100 pages in length. To get an idea of the aesthetics and interests which drive Black Radish Books browse our website. Black Radish Books is a small press with collective inclinations, meaning we try to do just about everything ourselves. Run by writers who love poetry, hybrid writing, and the craft of making books, we ask authors to support our press rather than charge a reading fee. Become a part of our community by purchasing one of our titles through SPD. When you upload your manuscript, email us a copy of your SPD receipt: blackradishbooks@gmail.com

Dependent on pre-orders to help offset the costs of printing, our authors are directly involved in the marketing of their own books. In your cover letter, please tell us your ideas for getting your book into the hands of your communities as well as any ideas you have about the design of your book. Let us know, too, what draws you to Black Radish, why you feel your manuscript is a good fit for our press. Please submit your manuscript as a single PDF. We will choose 2-4 manuscripts from this reading period to publish in 2015. Announcement of our selections will be made by August 31, 2014.

Black Radish Books only accepts submissions via Submittable. Submit now.
